Friday brought a break in the precipitation to our area. A very well developed low pressure system is what's responsible for the rain we've been getting. A cold front swung through and brought us a couple of days of cooler and wet weather. Friday morning started with a line of showers moving north.
Fire season ended on Wednesday for Oregon Department of Forestry-protected lands in Southwest Oregon. rainfall of at least one-half inch was recorded in many parts of the district, which includes state, private, county, city and Bureau of Land Management forest lands.

Over the last four weeks, NewsWatch 12's Coats for Kids Campaign has collected thousands of coats for local kids in need. The donated coats were collected, cleaned, sorted, and bundled. On Friday, the first rounds of coats headed out to schools.
