After three very active days, things will quiet down periodically. Storms today will only be east of the Cascades and very isolated. Also, from Crater Lake north and east storms will develop. Elsewhere, it will be a quiet day with mostly sunny skies but hot temperatures.
The Oregon Department of Forestry released an update Friday that states what's being called The Beaver Complex now consists of the Salt Creek Fire and the Oregon Gulch Fire. The Oregon Gulch Fire grew rapidly and is now estimated at 11,000 acres.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a LEVEL THREE EVACUATION for all residents on Copco Road near Ashland. Level 3 Evacuation means residents need to leave. Fall Creek Ranch just south of the fire area has been designated a safe zone for evacuees.
Crews continued to battle several small fires in the hills between Talent and Ashland that were sparked by lightning Wednesday. There are several fires burning in the Wagner Butte area. The largest is being called "Wagner 1," and has burned about eight acres.
