A longwave trough is currently over the NW. A shortwave, or weaker disturbance, is now beginning to move inland, sparking up some showers across the viewing area. These showers are going to continue tomorrow, & gradually diminish from west to east.
With the Neutral El Nino Southern Oscillation conditions, a high pressure ridge should sit over most of the Western United States this summer. This area of high pressure will move further West as areas of low pressure push inland along the jet stream.
