    Boles Fire at 479 Acres

    Firefighters say they are making progress. Rains last night helped with containment and mop up efforts. The fire is at 479 acres, but is now 85% contained. More than 100 homes were damaged or destroyed, and 1,100 are still being threatened.

    Twenty four hour air quality readings are unhealthy as of 8:30a.m. in Medford and Grants Pass. Smoke settled across the Valley Tuesday night leading to the poor conditions. One hour readings are showing improvements though, reading good to moderate across the West Side.

    Level One Orders for Onion Mountain Fire

    The Onion Mountain Fire is now just shy of 3,000 acres. Fire officials said an infrared flight helped them to see the real progress of the fire. They said it is now at 2 percent containment. The level one evacuations put in place Monday are expected to remain the same Tuesday.
