Today will mark the beginning of a very wet few days across the Northwest. The first of many fronts will travel south through Southern Oregon tonight. Ahead of the front, light and spotty showers will develop and travel inland. Most of these showers are going to stay light in nature.
Fire season ended on Wednesday for Oregon Department of Forestry-protected lands in Southwest Oregon. rainfall of at least one-half inch was recorded in many parts of the district, which includes state, private, county, city and Bureau of Land Management forest lands.

Klamath Falls residents who want to get a close look at a partial eclipse of the sun will get their chance Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Klamath County Museum.The museum will feature an 11-inch telescope equipped with a solar filter available during the unusual event.
