Fire Season Will Begin Monday

Despite recent showers, Oregon Department of Forestry experts declare fire season will begin on June 3, 2013. On Monday, the fire danger level will move from low to moderate and open burns won't be allowed. Crews believe it will be an active season.
Holiday Rains Could Delay Fire Season

What comes as a downer for holiday vacationers could be a blessing for open burns. Just a couple weeks ago all signs pointed to an early fire season. Now the same rain causing an early end to the camping could mean a later start for that fire season.
